What’s the question?
March 12, 2010 - 6:03 pm
Did you use Feeedage.com to submit your rss to?
Did you have anchor text in your article pointing back to your website or your squeeze / landing page?
Submitting one article is not going to cut it. If that is a unique article, you need to spin it into 100s of articles and submit them to 100s of article directories. Really bomb them. At least one article a day for a minimum of 30 days.
You can outsource this stuff or get software to do it. See my resources below.
March 12, 2010 - 6:44 pm
True as previous people have stated its gonna take alot more than that the internet is a huge ocean of information and you could raise your up yourself but have you thought of other peoples websites/articles that they are trying to raise up too? So i say its much better to find an seo company like http://www.neuracom.com/ they do the work for you while to manage and watch your site go up
March 12, 2010 - 6:46 pm
That’s not enough. Search engines are very big. Posting on one site is not enough. You have to post for about thousands to have a rank on those engines. Try posting for about 20 a day and you’ll see the difference in a week and use many different keywords.
March 12, 2010 - 7:43 pm
As stated above, if you are writing articles to prop up your target sites PR and SERP position, you’ll need a lot of different inbound links. When writing articles or blogs, you’ll need to concentrate on the right keywords. Take a look at one of my blog posts that will help you with keyword research.
March 12, 2010 - 8:22 pm
Where is the question? and how did you target? did you hyperlink the keyword back to your site? That is a tough keyword to aim for, I would reevaluate that before sending out any further articles. Get women for what? Know what I mean. and it could mean so many different things. “Get women” meaning “find women to date” or it could mean “get women” meaning “understanding women better.” And those are just two examples.
March 12, 2010 - 8:26 pm
First of all, 386,000 searches are performed monthly for the phrase ‘get women’ just in the US.
Type this phrase into Google, and you get 395,000,000 results. See, there are a multitude of factors that contribute to a page ranking in search results. If you are looking for your article to show up, you would likely be more successful using a ‘long tail’ keyword, that is, a keyword phrase of at least 3 words.
With such competitive keywords as ‘get women’, you have tough competition. I’m sure you’ve Googled this phrase – You can see how many ‘player’s guides’ are out there, right? Well, here’s the edge they have over your article:
- Backlinks
- Time
- Site-Wide Keyword Targeting
Google tends to give diversity credit, and includes articles, along with a multitude of multimedia, with the traditional ‘web’ results. Well, this is your chance. Except search engines give credible sources the most credit. How do you become credible? The more people that find your page or site good enough to link to, the better you look. Are the people linking to you already deemed as credible? Bonus points. The longer you’ve been around, the more credibility you get from staying power.
Keyword targeting is just one very important factor of SEO – You could think of it like this:
Oh, and RSS aggregators are great, but only a percentage are going to give you a backlink, and even fewer will have any relevance to your ranking in search engines.
